First timer.

I've never had a blog before, and I hVent read too many either. Honestly, I made one because you can't follow other blogs unless you have one...technically. But now that I'm here, and I've endured the agony of picking a blog name (from the end of 'Jersey Boys', in case you thought you had heard it before, or if you were casually not caring), and so. Why not give it a shot?
Of all things to blog about, I decided on one of the most intangible, indescribable, inescapable parts of life -- music. How I'm going to go about that is beyond me. I'm not a blogger, I don't know what I'm doing. But where's the fun in going in with a plan, anyway? Back to the plot. I needed to find enough words to maintain a blog, I knew it would have to be about something I love -- my family might
not appreciate the inevitably embarrassing stories; school currently consumes my life, which is wonderful, but no one needs to know how to identify the symmetry of a molecule, how topographic maps are created, or how to code messages into pictures; food is only interesting before I eat too much, or when my parents cook; college is too full of beautifully nerdy 'had to be there' jokes to keep this going. That leaves God
or music, and I think the latter just might be an interesting exploration. Not to say these other things won't pop up, but hey. Not a blogger. And for once in my life, I don't really have a plan. So hang tight.
I'm hoping this blog can capture the fingerprints I leave on my most loved CDs, the shameless shower concert hits the rest of the dorm suffers through on a daily basis on my account, the records I've picked up from Goodwill, the power surge from getting ten fingers on 88 keys, epiphany discoveries of the musicians you've known about for years, the way it feels to sit in a music hall and be absorbed by the sound of dozens of instruments. Individual pieces of music tell stories (the first of many cliches, get excited); but I'll endeavor to say that music can tell the story of a life. Tell me I'm wrong.
Now that I've turned you (assuming there is a 'you') off entirely with all of the introductory babble, I'm going to go follow blogs.
